Hoffman toolholder balancing machine
The toolholder balancing HOFMANN PTB operates on the principle dynamometer, allowing thus a permanent and independent calibration of the weight of the piece. They are simple and easy to use after minimal training and practice, ensuring optimal results. . The use of piezoelectric sensors in combination with variable spindle speed, allow operation at low speed in cases where the initial imbalances are high, and a balance of extreme accuracy in measuring at high speed.
Another remarkable feature, besides the application of the principle of measuring dynamometer, is the use of a high-tech electronic equipment, which allows not only the classic balanced, but, thanks to aid laser positioning simplifies the use of rings or sliding weights correction. The toolholder balancing ring allow the measurement and correction of imbalance in the PTB as often as needed without mechanical (removing material). This technology simplifies the process of balanced and avoids the destruction of the holder due to processes of drilling, milling or grinding. The positions of the weights or rings are shown on the screen and come with the flash of laser plotter.
The portable balancer PTB rate 7.2, and fixed PTB21.2 balancer, allowing a simple and rapid balance of toolholders mounted without prior knowledge of balanced by the operator. Very simple menu guided by function keys, allows the operator to quickly balancing results. PTB7.2 and 21.2 machines to measure the imbalance static and dynamic torque, and have, as standard, different modes of correction polar angle and angle component covered, allowing the balancing of all types of toolholders by addition, deletion or redistribution of material.
The software of these machines include estimates for the balance quality grade G and velocities DIN/ISO1940 permissible under the rule, and a depth gauge for drilling and milling, depending on the density of the material. With the PTB PTB 7.2 and 21.2, the rotor is directed manually to the correct position using the graduated disk and cursors on the screen. A tracer can be labeled with precision laser position on the rotor.
The PTB21.2 presents, in relation to 7.2, greater load capacity and the ability to use older adapters. Among the additional features are:
* Laser Tracer automatically activated
* Cursor positioning aid double rotor angular
* Milling Calculator to correct by removing material
* Ability to record 500 parameters Part types
Reduction of Imbalance: Min 95%
Very clean unit and has little wear. We ran the unit through basic operations and it performed normally.
Requires minimal are for chucking and 120 VAC @15A
Unit also includes a spare main panel and some documentation. We do not have a complete manual.
