Evac-u-splint - small with side-release buckle straps
The Evac-U-Splint splints are an effective way to immobilize the patient without placing pressure on the injured area and to immobilize the extremity in the position found. When a vacuum is drawn, the mattress/splint molds to fit the body without applying inward pressure on injuries. This eliminates the potential for compartment syndrome, unnecessary pressure sores, or impairing circulation to the injured area. Sensory function remains intact, yet the injured area is immobilized properly to prevent further injury and reduce pain. Splints are x-ray translucent, MRI compatible, and can be disinfected using CDC recommended cleaning solutions.
