This is a roll of Harrison Alloys NCR 80 Resistance Wire. The weight of the wire on this roll is 0.55 pounds and the wire size is 0.005 inches diameter. the composition of this wire is 80% Nickel and 20% Chrome.
Typical applications for Nickle/Chrome resistance wire are flat irons, ironing machines, water heaters, plastic moulding dies, soldering irons, metal sheathed tubular elements, cartridge elements, etc.
This wire is used to make: rocket engine igniters and foam cutters.
This is also used as The heating source in most electric household appliances such as ovens, toasters, hair dryers, washing machines etc
