Hightower: Basic Stamp carrier Robotic Platform
Meet MR. Mini - Hightower, the multi-layer protoboard robotic platform named after that big guy in the nerd movies. This is another newly designed product I have just completed. It was inspired by the Boe Bot and has some added features which takes it to the next level ( literaly ). It was orginally designed for the Parallax series of Prototype Stamp and Propeller boards or any board with a 3.75" X 2.75" hole pattern. The motors are mounted with heavy duty velcro and easily removed. This unit is available in either continous servo or DC motor versions. All servo motors are set for zero drift at a 750 pulseout. It has a 2.125" X 3.25" prototype breadboard along with a 6 Volt 2700 MHA, NiMH rechargable battery pack ( 1.2V AA x 5 batterys ). I am a home robot builder and not a big company. I designed this for hobbiests and home electronic expermenters after alot of research last year with as many options I could think of. I learned the hard way rechargable batterys are a must. It has lots of room for expansion and is designed for small rooms and apartments. Some experience would be helpful, but a pretty simple platforms Sorry not available in kit form. Pre-assembled only. Here is a new video of the Mini Hightower in action using an older Parallax Board of Education. IR sensors will also be available in kit form in the near future.

OPTION # 2 A 2 cell ( 2.25" x 6" each ) Solar Panel is also available as an add on for an additional $20. It is mounted on a lexon panel with hardware included. It can be easily mounted in front or back of the processor board. The output is 9V at 240 ma and is perfect for charging the battery or running a processor board. Sorry it does not have enough current to run the servos. =
