This is for 1 used Kit in great condition of the Test Um Tone Resi Tracer/Tone Sensor for LAN (ethernet - RJ45), Phone Lines (RJ11), and other wires! Plus you get the Test Um TG100 Tone Generator Unit and a Bag or Pouch to put it all in!
ONLY THE TELEPHONE CABLE IS INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING!
THIS IS A GREAT TOOL FOR LOCATING WHICH WIRE IS WHICH WHEN PUTTING IN A LOT OF LOCAL AREA NETWORK (LAN) LINES and I TESTED ONE OF THEM WITH A TELEPHONE LINE AND IT WORKS TOO! You will just need to purchase an ethernet cable to plug into the TG100 Tone Generator and that's it! The socket already fits both LAN cables and Phone Cables and the Tone is sent down either cable! Also, you can bare the end of a telephone cable and connect it to other cables to send the tone down other types of wires!
YOU USE THE TONE GENERATOR CONNECTED ON ONE END OF ONE WIRE AND YOU USE THE SENSING UNIT TO DETERMINE WHICH WIRE IS THE CORRECT ONE (ASSUMING THAT THERE ARE MANY OF THEM TO PICK FROM IN YOUR WALL) SO THAT YOU CONNECT THE RIGHT WIRE TO THE RIGHT PLACE! THE SENSOR UNIT WILL BEEP WHEN IT SENSES THE TONE SENT BY THE TONE GENERATOR DOWN THE CORRECT WIRE.
This kit is in like great condition! It has been gently used. Requires two 9V batteries - not included AND ONLY THE TELEPHONE CABLE IS INCLUDED!
