Here is a used Detroit 2-71 Generator. It is a good running unit. The generator has been load tested and it performed well. This generator is a 12.5 KW unit set to put out low voltage three phase or single phase 110/220 if you get a transformer to produce a neutral leg. The size of this unit tells you how they are built to last. It is a used unit with many hours on it , but they are designed to run and run. I have ran one of these for four years now at my mine site during the summer for around six months straight with no problems. The genset does not include exhaust, fuel tank, or a alternator.
