Wilcom's Fiber Test Kits provide the ability to launch a stable optical signal and measure it at the end of the cable, or to simply and quickly make optical power level measurements at any point in the network. The Model FM1310 Optical Power Meter offered in the FTS Kits does not include any means of storage or reference power indication. Power level measurements are in dBm.
The Wilcom Fiber Test Set is designed to test 1310 nm optical signals through either multimode or singlemode fiber. The kit includes an FM1310 multi-wavelength Optical Power Meter, FS1310 LED single wavelength Optical Source, adapter(s) and manuals. The 1310nm center wavelength allows the technician maximum versatility in testing either multimode LANs or short haul singlemode fiber.

Models FM8515B/C, FM8520, and FM1317 offer measurements in dBm, dBr, and micro-watts (milli-watts for FM8515C). The FM8510 offers measurements in dBm only. Each unit comes with a universal connector system for connecting to the most popular connector types.
Models FM8510, FM8515B, and FM8520 measure optical power from + 5 dBm to -70 dBm with calibrated wavelengths of 850, 1310, and 1550nm making these units ideal for general singlemode and multimode fiber optic testing.
Model FM8515C (High Power ) measures optical power from +23 dBm to -50 dBm with calibrated wavelengths of 850, 1310 and 1550nm making this unit ideal for measurements on CATV systems, optical amplifiers, and other high power devices.
Model FM1317 measures power from +5 dBm to -70 dBm with calibrated wavelengths of 980, 1310, 1480, 1550 and 1625nm making this unit ideal for singlemode, multimode and WDM fiber optic testing. Additionally, 2 kHz signal detection is performed by the unit for easy fiber identification.
