Two Units in One Magnetic Locator Plus a Dual Frequency Pipe and Cable LocatorWith just a flick of the switch you can use the receiver only as a magnetic locator to locate ferrous pipes and objects. It will locate 4" dia. pipes at depths up to 8 ft. A siren-like tone decreases to a null when metal is detected.
Specifications: The addition of the transmitter allows No. 101862 to inductively trace metal pipes, buried cables and any object with a magnetic field. Sold complete with a conductive cable assembly for unparalleled tracing ability. Even nonmetallic pipes can be traced by using metallized tapes. Operates on four C alkaline batteries for 50 hrs. of intermittent use. Order the optional Mini-Transmitter for tracing nonmetallic pipes. The optional Inductive Signal Clamp allows No. 101862 to selectively trace cables or conductors with nonmetallic insulation. Uses a dual 82.5kHz high frequency and 571Hz low frequency.
