This sewing frame has the following dimensions when set up
Depth = 300 mm (roughly 12 inches)
Distance between uprights = 485 mm (19")
The actual item may vary very slightly from the dimensions given because each one
is hand made but it will always be within a mm or two.
The baseboard is made from best quality pine with cross battens fitted beneath to prevent warping. The
threaded uprights are M10 zinc coated metal. The cross member is of pine and dowel which are shaped at the ends
to a pleasing profile. This frame will, with reasonable care, last a lifetime and has been designed and
made as a money saving item. An all Beech frame of the same dimension will cost over 100 !
When not in use the frame can be easily dismantled to lay flat (see picture) and can be placed in a drawer or
on top of a cupboard etc. to save space. It comes in a flat-pack but no skill or tools are required for assembly (which
