These fasteners do NOT require the use of any tool to install.
They are ADJUSTABLE - They have beads/bumps/ridges on them to make them adjustable. Once they have been adjusted to the desired size, you must cut them off to remove them.
Push the pointed end into the cone and continue pushing until you have the desired size.
