We @ C2C are proud to have the opportunity to offer this Ampro / Sunnen Thermal Cleaning System.
This is the largest system they offered, model 3654 (capacity 36" D x 54 L)...designated capable of Bus sized engine parts.
This is a complete 3 stage system that is in beautiful condition, just 29hrs from new (original purchase 97).
Factoid: Sunnen acquired Am-Pro Machinery in 1997 .

Some brief information for those not familiar with these 3 stage thermal cleaning systems....
Benefits / Why Thermal Cleaning:
Thermal Cleaning eliminates 95% of chemical use. Elimination of Hazardous Waste equates to safer, cleaner work environment. As well, hazardous waste disposal costs are substantially reduced
Reduced Worker / Labor Costs. Increased Safety and Healthier Worker environment.
Thermal Cleaning will clean where other methods fail. Grease, Oil, Crud turns into dust. Most gaskets come off without scraping.
Exhaust crossover passages will get cleaned. Rust and calcium deposits in water jackets will turn to dust.
Thermal cleaned parts are completely dry, steel shot can be easily removed. Airless blasting will eliminate most labor.
The Thermal Cleaning Stages / Process:
1st Stage: Thermal Oven bakes off the oils and grease on the parts @ 500F for Cast Iron & 350F for Aluminum.
2nd Stage: Airless Blaster removes the ash, debris using the concept of sand blasting, but with steel / stainless steel beads instead of sand. Engine parts are undamaged and clean at the end of this stage.
3rd Stage: Shaker Cool Down Parts turn and rotate as high pressure air cools and removes any remaining debris.
The solid waste outcome from cleaning, amounts to ash, burnout waste, and spent steel shot. Steel shot collected in the pullout tray of the Shaker Cool Down unit can be reused in the Airless Blaster.....
Each of the units use 2 power service feeds: standard 115v 1ph and 460v 3ph (this may be switchable to 230v 3ph).
Gas Requirements: Set Up for Natural Gas. Use of Propane would likely require some jet, venturi, etc. changes. 2 Gas Line. 5.5 wci while operating @ 1m btu. Main Burner: 570k btu. After Burner: 185k btu.
Whats Included in this system as shown:
The 3 Stages Cleaning Units (note they are setup in reverse order in pics): Thermal Oven (far right). Airless Blaster (center). Cool Down Shaker (far left).
Vacuum Dust Collection Cabinet w/dual filter (pics 4 & 5 on left). After Burner (pic 4 on right).
Two (2) Parts Loading Fixtures with Power Rotate and Foot Control (pic 6, black frames stacked).
Three (3) Parts Racks / Cages: 2 are loaded into machines and the other is sitting on the Black Loading Fixtures. Quantity of Parts Loading Rods (pic 7, on pallet).
Four (4) 3 foot sections of Stainless High Temp (2100F) Piping (for the after burner). A couple have bent connecting lips...will need to be straightened a bit when connecting. One 1 Pre-Configured length of Vacuum Collector Pipe (pic 7, black pipe).
Forklift Loading Rack / Cage Attachment (pic 8).
Installation and Operators Manual.
Going over the equipment and the manual, it looks like everything needed is there for installation....may need some misc. inconsequentials like piping, electrical, and such to connect to your service lines.
Space Requirements: About 26 in length, about 7 deep. The tallest unit is about 7 tall closed, headroom required is about 10 .
Estimated weight of the equipment is 13 -14,000 lbs.
Factoid....Depending on your Shop size / production levels, you may well recover the cost of this system in 1 year, in savings of hazardous waste disposal costs.
