The Meredian II Combination pH Electrode is a dual element system designed for use primarily in aqueous solutions. It is comprised of a glass pH measuring element which is completely sealed with a non-permeable pH sensitive glass membrane and a diffusion-type, silver-silver chloride, reference element housed in a Ryton body.
The measured electrical potential of the Meredian II pH Electrode is the difference between the potential of the glass element and the potential of the outer reference element when the electrode is immersed in a process solution.
The Meredian II pH Electrode must be positioned so that the process solution is in constant contact with both the glass membrane (measuring electrode) and the reference electrode.
