Mercer indicators, marketed for the UK, are available in the US as well. Made in Switzerland, these are some of the best inch-reading as well as metric dial test indicators available.
Mercer test indicators have several models with ranges and configurations which are unique among all test indicators.
One caveat: the old-style Mercer indicators were made in England. These are no longer available, but you can substitute the new models with confidence. All new models carry the suffix -1 on the model number.
Mercer indicators which are metric will have yellow dials. This is the norm for the US and UK. Inch reading indicators will have standard white dials.
There is some etching on tool. Does not affect the Indicator s accuracy.
