The Singer model 319 is considered to be one of Singer's finest, heavy duty sewing machines manufactured. It is the perfect machine if your needs require on the job sewing of canvas, upholstery and sailcloth. Unlike most portable, heavy duty machines, the Singer comes with a variable zigzag for those tough repairs. Like most industrial sewing machines, this Singer uses a high speed rotary hook for smoother sewing. The machine is also equiped with 24 additional fashion discs for other stitch patterns. My combining the discs with the built-levers, dozens of other designs can be created. THIS MACHINE CAN EASILY BE CONVERTED TO BE USED IN A POWER STAND OR CONVERTED TO BE A HAND CRANK MACHINE.
This Singer is built with all metal gears and working parts. Included are a variety of pressure feet, many bobbins, needles, complete set of fashion discs. For the quilter, also included is a straight stitch needle plate ideal for sewing your quilt pieces together. For the embroidery artist, an embroidery/darning needle plate for all your free hand work.

This Singer has beautiful stitch quality on all the fabrics that I have sewn on mentioned above. The very heavy and tough fabrics are handled with ease as well as the very sheer and lightweight fabrics.
It is in very, very nice condition and showing very little wear for being over 50 years old. There are some chips on the handwheel. The machine has been well maintained over the years and has just been professionally serviced, fine tuned and completely checked out and given an A+. You will get many more years of service from this reliable Singer.
