When plugged in and turned on the chain drive turned in an appropriate manner, drawing the plate very slowly up when set to "lo" and slowly up when on "hi". The sensor arm was a little jerky at first, but a dab of lubricant placed on the screw rod inside cleared that up and it moved quite smoothly afterward. The sensor's output signal wasn't tested.
