Thermcraft 1D1-25-230 Furnace Controller
For sale- a Thermcraft Furnace Controller Model 1D1-25-230, with the last two numbers indicating it will handle 25 amps at 230VAC. At the heart of the controller is a Eurotherm 818P4 Controller. Or more specifically an 818P4/TC/R4MA20/NONE/NONE/NONE/NONE/NONE/SN/05/0/1600/C/NO/NO/E/IN/S/N/MN/MN/H/@AF126/. I know that tells you everything you need to know about the configuration of the controller, but it does seem a little ridiculous to squeeze all that into the model number don t you think? Software 4.20.
Inside the steel enclosure is a fairly hefty transformer at the bottom and a Control Concepts SCR Power Controller Model 1025-24-30-4/20MA. Not sure why the enclosure would need to be so big just to hold this stuff, but it is. Maybe 6 feet tall, less than 2 feet square, just from memory. If you need actual dimensions shoot me an email. Outside the enclosure there is a 230VAC 30 amp twist lock power cord, both male and female. So I assume you would plug this into the wall and then plug the furnace into it. The unit comes from a Materials Science program at a large university, so it hasn t been working around the clock in a production capacity. It was surplused along with a Metco/Perkin Elmer Powder Feed Control unit that I am selling separately, as well as some Plasma Injection equipment. Maybe that gives you an idea of what it was being used for.
