The radios are coded to LICENSE-FREE frequencies, We also offer Free Custom VHF Programming
Please don t confuse these MURS radios with the blister-pack FRS or GMRS units you see at the checkout at the local Mega-Mart. These Kenwood TK2100s are professional grade radios; they are much more powerful (2W vs. 0.5W for FRS), much harder wearing and with Kenwood s QT coded squelch system, far less prone to interference than the cheap units.
