~~~ Parallel Tap or H-Tap Connector for Splicing or Tapping Copper Power Wire/Cable ~~~
Copper, Tin Plated, Compression Connector for connecting copper power wire/cable to another copper power wire/cable. This connector can be used to butt splice wire/cable or Tap/Pigtail existing power wire/cable to another power lead. The connector was made by Western Electric and engraved with part number KS23836-L9. It can be crimped with a manual compression tool using a brown die or it can be crimped with a hydraulic compression tool using the same brown die. You will notice the wax cord that is attached to the connector. This cord is used to temporary secure the cables to the connector so that one person can make the crimp. The table below shows the different type cable that can be used with this H-Tap Connector.
The Parallel Connector is like new and in excellent condition.
NOTE: All Taps do not have to be filled with wire or cable to make a good connection.
