I have been around long enough to see the change in this and decided it was time to rebuild the technology, the 2.0 of banner exchanges, to say, and bring back the glory days that once made this technology one of the most powerful marketing tools on the Internet.
What The Banner Exchange System Does
Individuals can now signup there websites, place our exchange code on their site, and start building impressions to exchange traffic with like minded sites. I have current set my ad prices to cost around $1.50 per 1,000 impressions, which is a very low cost for such highly targeted ads. Bringing on a single banner exchange partner can mean $10 to $45 in revenues each month.
This means having as little as 100 quality webmasters in your exchange could yield you 6 million monthly banner impressions - and with a modest exchange rate it would leave you well over a million to sell, giving you thousands of dollars in advertising revenues.
Not only you can sell ad inventory, but you can also utilize ad inventory to promote affiliate programs and joint ventures. No ad inventory goes to waist by driving traffic to affiliate programs which means ALL of your unsold inventory will yield you profits, without a single sale. This means less marketing for you and more time bringing on websites to join the network.
Signup Fees To Join The Network
Naturally joining an established banner exchange is worth a great deal of money to other targeted sites. Getting your first exchange partner is easier then it seems. This is done by simply going out and talking to webmasters. The approach is this: introduce yourself via email, a forum, or direct and tell them you want to build a network of sites, just like his, to exchange traffic together like a web ring. All he has to do is signup, place banners on his site, and you will continue to contact others in his industry to do the same. This is a HUGE service to this individual because your offering to build an exchange specifically for him, attract others into it, and help him market his products.
Once you have your first partner, inviting others into the network is done using name dropping. Introduce yourself to other webmasters via contact forms, tell them you just signed XYZ company into the network, and you want them to join you and exchange ads direct with XYZ until you find other suitable partners. Explain to them the quality of this companies visitors and how its a perfect match for them. Bring them to the website, get them signed up, and now your network is growing.
Continue to approach companies, follow-up with them, and notify them as more related and known companies come into the network. Eventually they will all break down, join, and enjoy the benefits of the exchange.
Naturally webmasters WANT to exchange with companies, but they don't want to share their visitors with sites of no quality, and by inviting each one into the network one at a time to start you can ensure this.
Once the network is established you will find that webmasters will start to come to the exchange on their own. They will see the exchange on related sites and click to learn and signup with no effort on your behalf. Once you have established a network it grows on its own. Most importantly, the very individuals you invited into the exchange will PURCHASE all excess banner traffic direct from you, as its the traffic they highly desire.
