Hms light beam chopper 221 with 220A chopper head
This is a Model 221 HMS Light Beam Chopper which includes an optional phase-locked electrical shaft mode to synchronize choppers at different points in the beam paths. It may also be phase-locked to an external standard frequency.
The motor drive (type 220A supplied, without blades) will cover frequencies from 0.1 Hz up to 10 kHz depending on the blade selected. The head does not include the slip-on cover, nor does it include the connection cable to the controller (standard locking DIN 6-pin male to female cable).
A very extensive set of blades are available including absorptive / reflective surfaces, glass blades with mirror surfaces, double and quadruple row blades. Reference signal for lock-in amplifier or synchronization provided by a pair of built-in IR LED systems.
Digital readout of frequency with 0.1 Hz or 1.0 Hz resolution (depending on range set) for the A-channel.
The instrument is in very fine condition. Please note that no blades are included, nor is there a connection cable. Also missing is the cover for the blade. This is a current product, so it should be easy to source those items.
