F593C Stainless Steel for Marine Applications and other projects
The head stamp F593C is a broad ASTM specification classification
that specifies chemical composition and physical characteristics of
threaded bolts that are of 18-8 stainless (302, 303, 304, 305 etc.)
F593C stainless steel tensile requirements are about 20% higher
than that of commercial grade 18-8 stainless steel hex bolts.
The "C" is applied to bolts between 1/4" and 5/8" diameter.
(Please be informed that type 316 stainless is recommended in
saltwater and other highly corrosive exposures applications).
