I have 12++ melanistic pheasant eggs. The picture is of one of the roosters in their pen. Their plumage is brilliant with java green and a deep purple sheen. The hens are a near solid chocolate which will ensure dark coloring. These pheasants are beautiful only in their second year. This combination has proven dark roosters and hens. These birds have a diet of 20% meal with various nut and berries. To me pictures dont hardly describe their beauty.
