Cnc hotwire foam cutting machine 'xydroid" by xycorp, i
This Xydroid Large Format machine comes complete with the computer and all drawing & cutting software. The "SimplePath" software has been designed and developed for ease of use and allows cutting your foam shapes directly from the drawing screen. No need to convert your files into two or three code formats. You can be cutting production orders the same day this machine arrives!
The Xydroid is controlled with computer circuitry, which controls the direction and speed of the wire. The machine can also be jogged or moved in a manual fashion to position the hot wire. The hot wire temperature can also be adjusted and has an automatic shut-off when the machine reaches the end of the programmed sequence of moves.
The Xydroid s rugged design is constructed out of heavy gauge steel and quality components. It is designed to perform in even the most industrial types of environment and has the ability to easily cut a semi-truck delivery of foam within 12-hours This particular machine can cut multiple EPS foam billets (up to 3 BLOCKS of foam) with up to 10-wires total (Hot wire specs are standard .0014-diameter X750 Alloy Wire or 0140NS-750X).
This machine comes with a full 1-year warranty on parts and lifetime telephone support. We are always here to help you!
.Please feel free to call (***)-323-0333 if you have any questions or would like to stop by and see this machine. Just call for an appointment.
The Xydroid is a true CAD/CAM system specifically designed for cutting EPS foam into your designed shapes. Using a simple Computer Aided Drafting program, the profile of the shape desired is drawn into the computer. The shape may then be rotated, scaled, copied and nested within the drawing to maximize yield from the foam billet. The Xydroid program translates the drawing into a series of commands for the hot wire motors on the cutting table. This program also tests for drawing errors prior to beginning the actual cutting operation. The Xydroid system can cut three standard billets with up to 10 wires at the same time.
After loading foam onto the cutting table, the operator positions the hot wire(s) at the desired starting location and starts the automatic Computer Assisted Manufacturing system. The shapes are then automatically cut precisely as drawn, The operator is not needed until the Xydroid is finished cutting. The drawings may be saved automatically both on diskette and hard disk for use at a later time. The computer also has an Ethernet card installed for networking. Drawing can be done at a remote location. The versatile Xydroid may also be operated from the console keyboard for simple repetitive operations such as slicing, slabbing and block squaring.
Other than the initial positioning of the uncut foam billets onto the cutting table and entering a few simple computer commands to begin a job, there is no operator attendance required for the cutting operation. Since no slabbing or pre-cutting is required, you will find that your labor costs for fabricating linear foam shapes will be among the lowest in the industry.
Using the computers capabilities to rotate, copy and nest foam shapes within a foam billet, you will be able to achieve the maximum foam yield possible. Yields of 140% to 180% are not unusual. Given the current methods of pricing foam shapes by the board foot, this ability can provide a substantial boost to your profits. The computer programs we supply will automatically test each drawing file for mistakes which will prevent foam waste due to drawing errors. This feature will save a lot of foam during the training and start-up phases.
