Estimator is the core of every one of our Solutions. Beginning with the digitized takeoff and concluding with printing the final tender, Estimator is just the tool you need to carry a tender from start to finish, no matter what your specialty.
Import your plans drawings and get to work the Takeoff screen is where the whole process begins. With PCMX Takeoff users can import multiple sheets, and works with any known file format. You'll have access to several different takeoff tools that enable you to easily digitize lengths, areas, volumes and count items. Use the plan revisions feature to easily pick up design revisions. All measurements are link to the estimate so any changes to the takeoff annotations will automatically adjust the estimate costs.
The Notepad keeps track of all your quantities and cost item specifications, providing a convenient audit trail for your job. It's like a virtual note pad with a running list of everything on the takeoff. A mouse click lets you sort these items as needed, place comments, or get totals for your quantities.
The cost catalogues is a centralized storage location for historical pricing on cost items and PCMX offers trade-specific databases tailored to your particular type of work. Users can create as many customised databases as needed, with unlimited cost items in each. If you're already using Excel or another Windows-based third-party program, you can continue to use it. Just import your data directly from that program into PCMX.
Alternates are a powerful feature that allows estimators to vet sub contractors quotes and compare through customizable reports. Additionally apply build options that can quickly adjust the estimate. Quickly alter build option by adding or removing particular cost items. Simply add an alternate cost item, then change its status "pending," "accepted," "rejected," etc. as it moves through the approval process.
The Summary screen is where you view your estimate's subtotal costs, which are organised by (WBS) Work Breakdown Structure codes that you control. This feature also allows you to set baseline costs and compare any changes in the estimate against typical unit rates. Users can customise report coding up to 20 levels deep providing limitless cost code structure and flexibility.
PCMX Purchase Orders allows you to easily and electronically create, track, and manage your POs for any job. This solution is a robust toolset for pricing, ordering, and delivery of goods. Valuable user-friendly features are designed to match the way contractors work and simplify common material ordering processes. Develop a vendors list and email multiple suppliers to compare material pricing. Each order can be track by job, vendor, or item.
