2-1/2 axis series i bridgport acu-rite millpwr retrofit
2-1/2 Axis Series I Bridgport Acu-rite Millpwr professionally installed retrofit.
This machine started out as a standard manual 42 inch Variable Speed Head Series I Bridgeport with manual one-shot lube and chrome ways. This was a low hours machine, and the ways and spindle were in excellent shape to begin with.
We had a former Bridgeport service technician recondition the head, readjust the gibs and install new ball screws, a new one-shot lube pump, and a brand new Acu-rite Millpwr 2-1/2 axis CNC control.
This control is the latest state of the art in CNC retrofit packages, with robust drives, flash card reader as well as the traditional RS-232 interface for easy program uploads or downloads. It has a 10 inch color LCD display and an intuitive library of canned functions available for easy programming of basic and advanced operations.
This is a new factory warranted 2-1/2 axis control with fully CNC X and Y axis and an integrated positioning readout on the Z (spindle) axis. It also has a start/stop pushbutton that will let your operator step through the program easily and efficiently for maximum productivity, without compromising the program workflow.
