Wow! These are the coolest things you'll find! When trying to change your bucket or bottle calf over fromo a bottle to a pail, we all use our fingers and stick them in the calves mouth, then shove his head in the bucket to try to teach him to suck the milk from the bucket-right? Well, after hundreds of teeth markets, a couple black eyes, and a bucket or 2 of milk down the front of me, I've found these Great Floating Nipples.
Just fill your bucket with milk, dunk the nipple in the milk (so the flavor is on the nipple) and stick in the calves mouth, then hold the bucket up to the calf, so that the bottom of the floating teat is in the milk, and as he sucks, he starts sucking up the milk, Just let him keep sucking, and as he drinks the milk, the teat floats on top until it's gone, Then just take the nipple away from him, As he drinks, he naturally "bobs" up and down like nursing from MOM, so he gets used to the milk not only coming up the nipple, but also around the nipple. WOW! Quick, easy, and takes about 1 or 2 times and the calf has got it!
