There is evidence that this unit was once installed (screw marks on the housing), but I don't think it was ever fired - the power wire (black) shows no signs of ever been connected. Maybe this control was replaced because of the long safety switch timing - 45 seconds. Works perfectly. I believe Honeywell no longer offers this unit and it was replaced by R8184G-4009, which has 2 additional terminals, and uses a 24 volt thermostat. The R4184D is line powered and controlled. 120 volts. Non recycling - locks out and needs to be manually reset, in the event of flame failure. The replacement unit (R8184G) is $146.31 (Honeywell pricing).
