Electro-metrics rva-30 rod antenna - 10 khz to 30 mhz
Electro-Metrics Active Vertical Antenna which includes an internal amplifier that results in high sensitivity to the electric field in the frequency range of 10 kHz to 30 MHz, with limited frequency coverage to 50 MHz. Easily be used with any 50-ohm receiving instrument requiring improved sensitivity.
Its battery operation, which eliminates a control cable, adds to its simplified operation.
The sealed lead-acid battery included is rechargeable overnight from both 110v and 220v 50/60 Hz power systems. Fairly flat response from 10 kHz to 20 MHz. Includes the antenna base and the telescoping element only, and does not include a Counterpoise,

The negative lead of the battery has been removed so that the antenna can be powered from an external power source without being tied down to AC power or the antenna loosing charge and being out of service while recharging. The mod was to merely undo the nut that held the power switch in place and run the power cable though the existing hole. The switch is still present, and can be hooked back up by merely reconnecting the battery and removing the power cord.
These are very expensive antenna's and this is a great investment for any EMI, EMC, or TEMPEST lab.
