Fittings are for metric tubing. Tubing is marked as Festo 6x1 which 6mm equates to 0.236 inches. I measure this exact number also using calipers so it certainly is metric in the outside dimension. You might make 0.25" tubing work but it would be tight and cant guarantee it with these fittings. I meausure about 0.245" in the fitting opening and flexible 0.25" tubing might just fit.
*Fittings in the end of the tank can easily be removed. I am not sure of the thread in the end of the tank. Festo shows it as it should be a 1/4" pipe thread BUT I can not get a 1/4" pipe thread to fit correctly. It gets tight immediately. 1/4" fine thread perhaps? The threads appear closer together than the 1/4" pipe thread I have. Might even be metric. 6mm pipe thread perhaps? I have no metric fittings here to verify.
