The ZHL-0812HLN type units have been used for many years as Test Lab RF Power Amplifiers with a low noise figure of under 1.5 dB wide frequency range, over 30 dB of gain and over +26 dBm of output power. They are ideal for noise figure test sets, spectrum analyzer IP3 testing and as Booster amplifiers. The unit operates from a +15 volt dc supply at typically +650 ma. The PCB three stage discrete FET amplifier assembly uses DC active bias circuitry, includes an internal DC voltage regulator for up to +28 volt and reverse DC protection. Also includes an internal negative dc power supply for gate bias, and shut down protection circuitry for the FET transistors in case the internal negative gate supply fails. The unit have SMA female connectors and solderable DC and ground terminals.
