H13 Tool Steel Flat 1.75" x 4" x 22" - Oversize
H13 Tool Steel is an air-hardening (Hot Work) tool steel containing 5% chromium. It offers toughness and temper resistance at high temperatures and also heat check resistance. It can be easily machined in the annealled condition.
"Oversized" denotes that the actual dimesions are larger than the listed size. Flats may be saw cut on width and require machining to square. The amount of extra material for thickness and width varies from +0.05 for small sizes to +.100 on the larger sizes. The length is +0 to +.750. Typically used when precision setup tolerances are not needed or extensive machining may be require without the added cost of the precision ground material.
