'The new KC8050 turning grade from Kennametal Inc. is engineered to productively machine a wide variety of workpiece materials over an extended range of machining parameters. The advanced cobalt-enriched substrate and thick alumina coating of the KC8050 grade enable it to provide exceptional performance on steels, stainless steels, cast irons, and high-temperature alloys in finishing through interrupted roughing cuts. The new grade offers both superior wear resistance and excellent edge strength, and features a micro-finished edge that resists build-up even in gummy materials. The new grade is easy to apply and performs exceptionally well at today's higher cutting speeds, but can also productively machine at higher feed rates and relatively low speeds, enabling users to achieve reduced cycle times on older machines. The versatility of the KC8050 grade also permits users to minimize insert choices and tooling inventories.'
