This is an ANSI A156.4 Grade 1 Closer
Color is Painted Duro Bronze to compliment Duro aluminum or to compliment 613 (US10B) finish hardware
This door closer is a perfect replacement for a broken aluminum storefront door because it can most likely fit the same screw holes of your existing closer. A very common pattern is 9-1/16" horizontal centers and 3/4" veritcal centers. Matching holes makes replacing a leaking or broken closer a whole bunch easier than trying to template out a different hole pattern and drilling and tapping new holes! (Then what do you do with the old holes that show? Yuck!) Yale and Norton closer holes are most common because they were the biggest manufacturer of door closers for years and years and are still made today...compare the cost though.
You can save bundle of money and get a top quality closer for new or replacement applications. Additonal functions are available on a special order basis such as:
Standard pack is "Tri Packed". Regular Arm shoe, Parallel Arm Bracket and SNB are included at no extra charge. Fully adjustable Back Check is standard.
Although it isn't used much with this model a streamline cover is also available on a special order basis. A better choice for a full cover commercial door closer would be the 5100 or 7100 series and you can find those items in my store, Dirt Cheap Door Hardware.
This door closer is factory new in the original factory carton, taken out of a full shelf case with easy to read templates and installation instructions in every box.
The 3100 series is fully adjustable for sizes 3 through 6 to meet current ADA building requirements so it can be used on exterior and interior doors. The included hex wrench is all that is needed to adjust the closing power.
Separate closing and latching valves make adjusting for a smooth closing door opening.
