Glatfelter fan-apart carbonless adhesive 1 qt.
Summary Detailed instructions for using Fan-Apart Adhesive.
To make sure you get excellent edge-padding results every time with any Carbonless sheet product, be sure to use Fan-Apart Adhesive. Carbonless Paper is formulated to work with this special brush-on adhesive. When they are used together, individual plies of the form bond together, but the sets easily fan apart after they dry. It s foolproof, if you follow these simple directions.
- Make sure carbonless sheets are in proper order: CB, CFB, CF.
- Jog first to obtain smooth padding surface.
- Stack no higher than 18 inches on level tabletop.
- Padding edge should be no wider than 17 inches.
- Trim if necessary. Surface must be clean and dust-free.
- One pound of weight per inch of edge, no more just enough so stack won t shift when you brush.
- Weight should be even with padding edge unless CF tag or ledger is in the sets. Then move weight back 1/4" so sheets will separate.
- Jog if required; padding surface must be smooth.
- Use a clean, dry bristle brush.
- Use plenty of adhesive; keep brush saturated.
- Start at center and brush toward edges of stack.
- Repeat until entire stack is evenly coated. Three coats should do it; don t wait between coats.
- Rinse brush in water and re-seal adhesive container.
- First, allow stack to dry thoroughly. Recommended drying time is 30 minutes.
- Drying time is longer with tag or ledger stock.
- Run thumbs upward from bottom of stack, along the edges of the padded surface, near corners.
- Form sets will then easily separate from each other.
