This is the finest level available, used for precision work that is typically required in industry.
This Master Precision Level is especially designed for the setting up, checking and testing of machinery of all types. The efficiency of modern, high speed machinery depends to a large degree upon the levelness of the machine set-up. Many times machines are condemned when the entire trouble is caused by improper leveling. With this Master Level, machine operators, set-up, and maintenance men can tell at a glance the exact variation of the levelness of the machinery and make the necessary adjustments.
Graduated main vial; one division equals 1/2 thousandth (0.0005) of an inch per 10 inch
Unit is 8" long x 2" wide x 1 5/8" tall.
* The V-groove allows for leveling cylindrical surfaces.
* Two graduated vials allow for lateral and horizontal settings.
* Flatness for 8" level is 0.0001" and for 12" level 0.0002".
* The main level vial is graduated to 10 second accuracy (1 division equals .0005" per foot)
* The body of the level is of cast iron and the instrument from the heat of the hand.
