Sony RD-500 Dictation & Transcription Machine
This micro cassette recording unit is meant to be used with a telephone. Hook your telephone system up to the unit via an interface cable, and it allows you to call it and leave dictations. I'm not exactly sure how to use it, so it is difficult for me to fully test it. I belive there is a multi-pin cable needed that interfaces the telephone system with the back connection on the unit (see photo of rear connections). This unit does power up, but that's about all I know. The tapes do seem to play by use of the buttons on the unit and the foot pedal, but it depends on what settings are selected on the front panel. I'm not experienced with these, and without all of the other equipment necessary, I've tested it as well as I can.
