Diamond drag engraving bit for cnc routers
This is a Diamond Drag Engraving bit with 120 degree diamond tip with spring loaded plunger. The plunger is .500 O.D. and fits in any 1/2" collet, just like a regular end mill.
My system is very user friendly, just insert the plunger into your collet, and screw the collet to the spindle. Lower the spindle to the working material surface and start your CNC machine to create diamond drag engraving on plastic, metal and glass.
The engraver bit w/spring loaded plunger is very precise, I have engraved plates using Times News Roman with a font size of 6 and it look great. Lines are clear and sharp and it s fast.
The spring loaded plunger will compensate for warped material and tables that are not perfectly flat. The spring loaded "floating head" bit automatically regulates pressure on the diamond tip, making it easy for your CNC machine to engrave a solid, uniform line. This system has a bronze bushing to guide the drag bit, to remove drag bit just pull it out of the plunger, (the bit is held in place with a magnet placed inside the plunger). The bit has approximately 5/8" upward movement inside the spring loaded plunger. Bit can be replaced while it is still mounted to the router if you want to change the bit to one that has a different bit angle 90, 130, 140 and 150 degree bits are available.
