Tiny bantams, these kids do not fly, which makes them perfect for those people who want a very docile and gentle bird that does not roost. Silkies are fantastic egg producers and have a high fertility rate. These small birds are very hardy, and ours love to play in the rain and snow! Their feathers are quite popular and often used for craft projects and for fly fishing. Silkies make great pets and enjoy being picked up, pet, and carried about. As these cute and fluffy guys do not fly, they sleep at night all cuddled together, which is adorable!
