THIS ADAPTER IS USED ON THE NEW **R410A MINI-SPLIT A/C SYSTEMS THAT HAVE THE LARGER UNIQUE FITTING ON THE SERVICE VALVE, The description of that fitting is 1/2" ACME Male-20UN.
This adapter will screw onto the 1/2" ACME MALE-20 UN fitting and allow you to connect a standard 1/4 service hose to it.
