These plans are designed to fit a 9 South Bend Lathe however they can be altered to fit any lathe with V-Ways by changing the dimensions to suit the lathe. It can be built for very little money even if you purchase the materials.
This is an ideal project for a beginner. You will need a milling machine or milling attachment for your lathe to build it. You will have a valuable accessory for your lathe when you are finished.
When used with a dial indicator it is easy to bore or thread to a depth that is accurate to a thousandths of an inch.
