Two 6000UF 450VDC high voltage electrolytic capacitors


You are looking at a lot of two (2) Philips 6000uF 450VDC large high voltage electrolytic capacitors. Philips part number: 3186GN602T450DRA2. These capacitors are HUGE at 3 inches diameter x 8-3/4 inches tall. They weigh around 15 pounds together. At their rated voltage, they can store a combined 1,215 Joules of energy. I would imagine that these could be used for a solid-state Tesla coil power supply, induction launcher, rail gun, or anything else you would want to store such a large amount of energy. Perhaps these could smooth a power supply in a large ham radio amplifier.
I purchased them a couple years ago for a high voltage project, but my interests have changed over the years. I paid well over $100.00 each for these. Here's your chance to pick them up for a steal.
Warning: These high voltage capacitors can store a potentially lethal charge. Keep the shorting leads installed while in storage and until ready for use. Capacitors can build up a potentially lethal charge from the static electricity in the air. By purchasing these items, you indicate that you understand the risks associated with them.
One capacitor has a 1/8 inch scratch which does not affect its operation at all.
Both have some minor scuffs from storage.
Both check good with my capacitor tester.
Both hold their full rated voltage (within 95%) for a test period of 24 hours.
