Bunn cds switch - on/off ice/cool 27437.0000

This is a brand new rocker switch used on the CDS-2 and CDS-3 machines. In the control drawer, this switch is used to set each hopper on the machine for off, ice, or no ice (cool). This is a three position rocker switch. There are two of these switches on the CDS-2 and three on the CDS-3 (one for each hopper).
If your ice/no ice switch is sticking, broken, or needs to be pushed/nudged/cajoled to work, replace it with this switch. They install pretty easily - remove power from machine (unplug), gently pry up switch from top of drawer, move wires to new switch, push new switch into place.
You get one switch with each purchase (picture shows two views of same switch).
Note that there is a different switch for the other functions on the CDS machine (on/off, day/night, and augers on.off). That switch can also be found in our store. This switch has three positions and it will work only for the ice/off/no ice function for each hopper.
WHAT THIS SWITCH DOES: Some are confused as to the function of this ice/off/no ice switch. This switch is a control for each hopper, telling the main control board (the machine's "brain") what you want the hopper to do. If the switch is set to "Ice", it tells the control board to freeze the contents of the hopper (the refrigerant will be pumped through the cooling drum long enough to freeze the product in the hopper). If the switch is set to "No Ice", it tells the control board to keep the contents of the hopper cold but not frozen. This "No Ice" mode does the same thing as turning the Day/Night switch to "Night". Why thaw the product? If the machine keeps the product frozen 24/7, eventually the product's ice crystals become bigger and the product quality suffers. That's why it is recommended that you thaw the product once a day but still keep the product refrigerated so it keeps its freshness, especially if you are using high-fruit content products. This can be done manually with the Day/Night switch (tells the "brain" to turn both hoppers to "No Ice" mode), by switching the two separate hopper Ice/OFf/No Ice switches to "No Ice", or by using an adjustable timer that can be installed inside the machine so you don't have to remember to flip the switches every day. We sell these timers in our store. Of course, if the switch is in the middle position ("Off"), that one hopper will not freeze or get cold at all. If you are using just one hopper, be sure to turn this switch for the unused hopper to "Off".
