I'm a certified portable fire extinguisher technician with the State of Georgia and the State of Tennessee. This extinguisher is what you need to satisfy with most state's fire marshal standards/requirements. This extinguisher puts out type A (wood, paper, trash), B (liquid flamables), and C (electrical hazard). Amerex is the best extinguisher built!
Why is the fact that this extinguisher is 12 Year Hydro-Tested important?
2.5 lb. - this is good for residential, although 2007 NFPA standards are wanted commercial residents to use 5 lb. extinguisher. It is also good for small fork lifts and vehicles with minimal hazards.
5 lb. - office, and small retail (this is the size that some offices carry, and also a lot of retail...i.e. Walmart) carries this size.
10 lb. - Some office, some retail, and manufacturing and warehousing buildings containing non-hazardous materials.
