The FCC designated MDS service became MMDS, and recently has been designated BRS.
When used for television, this service is popularly known as "Wireless Cable".
This unit was originally configured and used for television on MDS Channel 1: 2154.75 MHz Visual (100 Watts Peak) 2150.25 MHz Aural (10 Watts)The unit was subsequently used to transmit multiple audio channels without video, hence the inclusion of the SCA-1A Frequency Modulator referred to below.
