Vintage home built one wheel drive "butt buggy"
Selling this Home Built "Butt Buggy". These things are popular at Antique Tractor and Hit & Miss engine shows to putt around on. This was built back in the '60's from scratch. The drive wheel is a 12" implement wheel on an early Chevrolet front hub with brass hub cap. The engine is a Briggs & Stratton model WM with lever starter. The Buggy has a unique variable speed belt / gear drive. This thing is about 9' long. The Seat appears to be off a John Deere 110. The engine runs very well and is in great condition. I replaced the original cloth-covered spark plug wire (yeah, I know it's not original but now it will run if the plug wire gets wet). I have not done much with this since I acquired it, but I have noticed that the belts slip a little and may need to be replaced.
This is located in Kalamazoo (Portage), Michigan, 49024. I am just off Interstate 94 at exit 75 (one mile east of the US-131 / I-94 interchange).
