HP5316A HP 5316A UNIVERSAL FREQUENCY COUNTER
Looking for a frequency counter/timer for your bench?
This 5316A from HP has many great features, including a unique custom circuit called the MRC (Multiple Register Counter) which packs in plenty of counting and computing power.
One interesting capability is computing low frequencies to display up to 6 more digits of resolution (micro Hz) than a conventional counter. Example: 2.741952 Hz.
Frequency range (ch A): 0.1Hz to 100MHz
Period range: 10 nS to 105 sec
Time interval range: 100 nS to 105 sec
Ratio range: 0.1Hz to 100MHz (both channels)

As you can see from the control buttons shown below, it has a ton of useful functions like, Time Interval to 100 ns, T. I. Averaging to 10 ps, Period A, Ratio A/B, A by B, Totalize, etc.
The Ch A & B controls can function as level or sensitivity. In level mode, they act a lot like scope trigger level controls.
HP-IB interface provides programmable functions and control.
Display is a bright 8-digit LED. Right digit is exponent.
It is reading my EIP 10 MHz reference, reads about 2 Hz low.

Uses standard computer type AC power cord, not included because I am completely out of cords & one did not come with it. Sorry.
It is used & in good condition.
It has some light scratching & wear on the front panel.
