Letterpress wood 2" mixed type alphabet 26PC **superb**
This is a Wonderful Rare Wood 2" Alphabet made up from a Variety of different Typefaces. This is a rarity as it can be quite a task to find a full alphabet from a mix with the right mix of different typefaces in odd letters of the same size. I have cleaned these to show the Incredible Mixed Colour Patina as they are made up from a variety of different woods, the ages vary as well with some might be Old and Hand Carved. The Condition of the letters vary with some having some small marks and some have ink stains but this would make a Fantastic Display piece and would look much nicer that a collage of odd letters.
This is Wonderful Alphabet and shows a Really Beautiful Complete Alphabet from an Excellent Mixture of Typefaces. Most of the wood letters appear to have been Carefully Used with a few little marks, all of which can be seen in the photos.

All the letters/numbers in this alphabet have been carefully cleaned to remove the dirt/dust (this includes some ink but not ink stains in the wood) and show the Patina to its best advantage. I am a collector of wood type and all the processes I use are designed to show off the wood type but not to damage or prevent the wood type from being used for printing again. I never use wax or varnish on the surface of wood type as this means that the letter can never be used for printing again.
