Plasmacam inverted control panel bracket modification
This Bracket set is a great mod for your PlasmaCam!
* Avoid collisions with the control panel's sharp cooling fins!
* Avoid damaging machine &/or personal injury!
* Gain more room for traffic around your machine.
* Kit includes both brackets needed for mod
I have noticed alot of Plasma Cam owners have had issues with the way that the control panel is located. I have seen several PlasmaCam units for sale & almost always noticed that the end cooling fins have been broken off (probably from collisions). I thought that I would come up with a solution on my own machine to remedy this issue. After fabricating & installing the brackets, I was able to work more freely with and around my machine. All controls are easily accessible & you dont have to worry about them sticking out & causing a hazzard.
The pictures below show before & after shots of the modification. The conversion itself takes less than an hour. You will have to drill a couple of holes for the new offset & you reuse the existing nuts & bolts!

The pictures below show that there is still plenty of room to handle the material to be cut next to the new location of the panel. I have had no problems with placing material onto my machine. The new location does NOT interfere with the way the machine operates & functions. You just have to make sure you route the cables properly & out of way.
