Up for sale is an Aluminized Proximity Fire Fighter s Hood with Lift-up Gold Colored Visor. This hood is typically used in conjunction with a fire fighter's aluminized flame suit.
This hood was purchased from a collection of Fire Fighter s memorabilia and would be a GREAT addition to any collection!
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION - This hood was developed to be compatible with self-containing breathing apparatus. The visor unlatches and pivots away from the person's face to provide improved ventilation and facilitate visibility and voice communication during stand-by and non-emergency situations.
It does not appear to have been used in a fire or similar situation, but it does look to have been used in drills or demonstration. In other words, it looks to be in very good condition!
This hood was made for the military by Lite Industries Inc.
The basic fabric is 100% Aramid.
The internal hard hat is size Medium.
The hard hat's liner adjusts from 6 1/2 th 7 3/4 hat size.
