INSULATION RESISTANCE TESTER (MEGGER) MODEL 1010
This tester is used for measuring insulation resistance of various electrical machinery components such as electrical cables, windings of motors and generators transformer, telecommunication parts, electrical home appliances and other machinery. It is consists of a scale that indicates the resistance directly. This particular model has a rating of 1000 volts that is generated by a small built in hand-cranked generator. The main concept is to inject the test sample with high voltage to stress the part and then measure the resistance under those condition. This megger is ideal for electrical tradesmen. No need of spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars if you just one to do a standard insulation testing. We use this in our shop and we are happy with its performance at a good price.
